The student aid process is often described as having a front and a back.

• The front describes what the student needs to do to receive aid.

• The back describes what Federal Student Aid (FSA) and their partners need to do to ensure students receive the aid.

But this doesn't really tell the whole story. There is a complex network of business processes, systems, stakeholders, and human resources that make the student aid process work.
